Thanks Louise – your timing was again perfect! The local Hospice shop is going to be so grateful, as I have biffed out over half of the contents of not only my wardrobe, but the two others in the house that contained my clothes overflow. Souvenir t-shirts from places I don’t remember going to, clothes that fitted me when I was an underweight smoker and which will never fit again (and even if they did, they are hopelessly out of date) and my personal favourite – a dress which I bought in 1980, wore once in 1981 and have somehow never managed to part with. I have moved student digs/flats/houses maybe 15 times in the interim, and must have thought ‘you never know’ that many times! Now I can see what I’ve got, and I wear it all. And you are right – my head feels less cluttered without having so much useless stuff in my life.

You really made me think with this post, and today I actually did it. It was great !!! It wasn’t 50% of my wardrobe, but it certainly was the stuff that needed to go but for some reason I just kept hanging on to it. Now it is gone, and really good pile in the rubbish, an ever bigger pile for charity and no maybes!!!!

Thanks for the inspiration I needed to do this, I now feel like I have a tonne of new clothes, and the best thing is I realise that I don’t actually need to buy much, so it saves me money in the long run.

This is one happy lady 🙂

Yahoo! More inspiration…especially good when you’re moving house as I am, and downsizing as well. I’m determined that the only stuff that is going to the new home will be Hell yeah stuff.
